Week of ups and downs.

Herrrow everyone.

So much to say. I need to write more so that I dont have to put it all into one whole blog!!

Went to see the hypnotist on  Saturday. It was at the international center, and it was completely awsome! there were about 10 volunteers who got hypnotized. They were so funny! he mad the guys "go into labor" and a girl "translate alien language into English"
I sincerely enjoyed me some good humor hypnotized students!

Ive decided to go home for spring break. Broke.
I was going to stay in the dorm and chill with the bf and relax, but we broke up. Theres no reason for me to stay in east lansing alone!
Im very very excited to go home and see my friends and puppy!
Im also looking forward to a pedicure and possible hair change!

Yes, you heard right, Mister Sterling and I broke up.
Many posts in the last 5-6 months have his name in it. We did so much together in the last 5 months.
Things just werent the same, it was a mutual break up.
He is a completely good guy and I am happy to be his friend and know him.
We are on great terms.  :)
I wish him the best of luck in all that he does!
SHOUTOUT!

Workout Status:
eh....well i added more vegetables and fruits overall, but i need to add more.
This week I have to try and eat 5 little times a day, while keep eating the superfoods.
Working out-well i was sore most of last week, so working out lasted 2-3 days. And today I worked out. But man! These workouts are kicking my butt!

Housing!
Ive decided to live in an apartment with 3 lovely ladies in chandlers crossing next semester.
Its a little more than I wanted, but tanning, gym, pool, bus pass, my own bedroom and bathroom, ice rink, and printing is all part of the $440 a month.
I met the girls last night to get to know them and left extremely happy. My spirits went from 0-10 instantly.
And omg..if we get a puppy.... ill be in heaven

BLOG SOON! MUAH MUAH MUAH!

TGIF

So the workout is okay...ive added more fruits and veggies and meat in my diet! so its healthier.
I need to work out a little more though if I wanna feel healthier.

In about an hour sterling is coming over to cut my hair..oh yeah..you heard it!
Hopefully it turns out okay. I can layer my hair really well, but its just the initial trim i cant do.

Later tonight we are headed to BDUBSSSSSS! his frat is hosting the party. Its going for a good cause, with a $5 entrance fee. There will be a dj and dancing! SO if you dont have anything going on, you should come out for good music and good food...and a good cause! (Children's SOS Village and Children's International)

Tomorrow night see a hypnotist at the internation center at 9pm! ...and if you dont..ill tell you all about it :)

ATD 231 Feild Trip to Woven Art in Downtown East Lansing.

When entering Woven Art I was greeted by an extremely friendly dog. The whole time I was followed by this loveable pup, and occasionally gave it a little loving attention. Once I was able to pull my attention away from the dog, I noticed all of the beautiful colors on every wall of the room. I walked from one end to another feeling every yarn that looked soft. Once I got serious and started looking at the labels I noticed that most of the yarns were made out of mohair, silk, alpaca, merino, and cashmere. Theses luxurious natural fibers were spun and dyed beautifully.

My first choice of yarn would be by KidLin, called Lace Weight. It is made in North America, and is made of 49% linen, 35% kid mohair, and 16% nylon. The yarn was spun and came in almost every color. I would love to see this yarn made into a sweater or blanket. The yarn was extremely soft and fuzzy to touch.

My second choice of yarn was Glisten, Kollage. The yarn I touched was a white/cream color with specks of silver in it. The yarn was made in Peru, and is made up of 70% alpaca, 25% silk, and 5% estelle. This yarn also came in a wide variety of colors. Above the yarn was a display of the yarn after being made into a shawl and hat.

My third choice of yarn was Schaefer Yarn. I found it sitting on a chair. What interested me the most was the color of the yarns. The yarn name they were selling in Woven Art was Elaine. Shaefer Yarn picks a woman in history and creates a yarn out of it. On the back of the tag is the womans’ story and influences. The yarn is 99% Merino and 1% nylon, making this yarn extremely luxurious.

I had completed the assignment and was ready to leave, but my attention was once again stolen by more bundles of yarn. I kept looking throughout the store, still with the loveable pooch behind me.  I came across a bundle of 100% spun silk with glass beads. The spun silk was absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. Right next to the bundle of spun silk was cashmere. The cashmere was so soft and warm. I found that I was much more attracted to the soft, fuzy yarns, rather than rough, high twist yarns.

THINGS on my MIND this week

Things on my mind this week:
(this may or may not include useful information, a follow up of events ive done the last week, the weather, or work related issues)

-The masquerade ball that ster and i went to on Saturday...fun but weird. Getting dressed up was the absolute best. I bought a beautiful new black dress. It was very flowing with flower detail on the shoulder.
-it was weird bc we didnt know how to dance...everyone there danced really different than we'd ever seen. We ended up going back to his place and playing online tetris together. Yeah...were dorks.
-HOT HOT HOT in east lansing. I wore a sweater today...and that is all. a cardigan. niceeee
-I had to go to the er last night for a minor condition. THINGS TO KNOW: the #1 stops at 11:05 pm, and taxis only take cash STILL.
-I slept all day bc it took so long to get everywhere last night. I even slept through the movie ster had picked out for us to watch...por ster.
-OKAY! I have to say something. Ster and i have had some trouble at work. Everyone else can talk, oh look! theres that line of student cooks talking away...
But when I sit for a few to say a word to sterling everyone jumps on us.
Its like bc were dating they think we talk way more...when in reality, others talk more.
Just the other day I was on my break (valentines day) and sat by his station. It was the FIRST time wed talked in person that day and the FIRST time we had talked at work. It was no more than 5 minutes, and as soon as we walked away ster got told that he has to talk less to me....THAT WOULD BE NOT AT ALL!!!
SOoo im frustrated with the situation. It seems like were getting special, unfavorable treatment.
-ALSO!!! After working a long shift I was asked by a manager to stay 10 mins and clean tables bc the caf was not in the condition it should be for the next shift of workers. LITTLE did I know that he is the same manager that works before me on Wednesdays. Every time I come in on wednesdays the caf is an absolute disaster. SOOO if i have to stay after to make sure its okay, why cant he make someone stay after for me so that when IIIII come in its good for me too???????
-Ive never had a musician that i LOVED. truelly loved. I recently found Jessie J. I think she has an amazing voice, although some might think its too forced, or screamy. I think she is very talented. I am in a contest to get prizes being her fan. Go to my twitter (link at bottom of the blog site) and click on the music links that say "Check out:" to help me get closer to seeing her in new york.
-MY FRIEND just started a youtube account and sent out a hilarious video... This should follow up on my sorority comment a few posts ago.

Bekah has recieved so many views and comments. Its truelly hilarious. Dont watch it if youre in a sorority and easily offended...but you should watch it.. :)

Boy-Frands birfffday this sunday...

Hopefully I can post something interesting in the next 2 days!

CARNIVAL

Yesterday was the snow day. I stayed in SnyPhi all day, which is also where I work, The Gallery.
So after a day of working on homework...stupid CAD (computer aided design)... I went to work!
And was surprised to find that it was "Circus Night" at the gallery!
It was decorated like a carnival, with a ton of color, a cotton candy machine, popcorn, games to win prizes, specialty circus foods like corn dogs and walking tacos, face painting, and clowns walking around. There was also a juggler and an animal balloon maker.
I worked at the cotton candy machine, which was SO LOUD, i swear my hearing is damaged!
Work went by extremely fast because of all of the excitment!
I played a bean toss game and a duck float game.
I won a travel mug, and a ton of temporary tattoos!
The dinner was wonderful and fun filled.
After work, I got my face painted to look like a kitty cat. I had to go all out...
I really hope Im not the only one that just had a blast at the Circus event....because it was a blast!
Pictures posted soon!

GOING GREEK???...btw snow day tomorrow!!!!!!!!! :D

Okay...its rush week...time to talk about it.
My boyfriend is in a frat, Sig Rho.
I love the boys, they are all very nice.
Im actually being the "door girl" tonight and checking all the boys into the house.

Ive considered rushing myself.
I had a list of about 3 houses I wanted to join.
I was thinking about rushing this semester...but after seeing the grades Ster got during his rush semester (sry ster, i had to bring it up), i decided to wait until I officially get into the Interior Design program at msu.

Going Greek.
To go greek..or not to go greek...that is the question..

Ive always been pro-greek, at least with sororities...until yesterday.

While I was eating lunch I overheard Sigma Kappa (looks like "EK" on the bags) girls talking. I knew they were EK girls, because they were all carrying black bags with colorful EK stitched onto it.
They were giggling about the first night of rush, which was only a few hours ahead of them.
I was excited for them...until i heard one of them say
"when an ugly girl walks into the house yell 'GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!'"
and then they discussed how they were going to allow any gorgeous girl to walk through.
They were joking...but not really.
They were making mean remarks and comments, and how they were going to act, and behave.

Ive always wanted to join a sorority, thinking it wouldnt actually be that way...but perhaps it is.
I WILL be judged for what i wear, and how i do my makeup and hair. Its sad.

I feel as though frats are different. I feel as though boys dont care about looks as much as girls, that guys focus on personality more. But perhaps im wrong...

Im still down for pledging...for rushing...for whatever.
But I am seriously disgusted by what I heard...

ALSO on my mind...
SNOW DAY TOMORROW!!!!
